The delay tactics orchestrated by the Mayor and Vice Mayor continue! Just two weeks after notifying the public about a March 17th Council meeting regarding the first reading of the Bal Harbour Shops Enhancement Plan item, the meeting has once again been stalled. Rather than moving forward with the March 17th meeting as planned, the Council held a last-minute gathering for the sole purpose of again postponing a decision on the Enhancement Plan.
The March 17th meeting has now been delayed until April 13th.
This is yet another attempt by the Mayor and Vice Mayor to stall a plan that has been five years in the making, holding back $127 million in economic benefits to the Village that the proposed plan will deliver. It's time to demand responsible government leadership in Bal Harbour.
The time has come to have your voices heard by the Bal Harbour Village Council! Please join us at the meeting on April 13th and call on the Village Council to stop delaying and denying residents the opportunity to vote on the potential Village Hall land purchase necessary for the proposed Bal Harbour Shops Enhancement Plan. Without the Village Hall land, the Enhancement Plan's $127 million in benefits to the Village will not be possible!
Following are the details for the meeting:
April 13, 2016
Bal Harbour Village Council Special Meeting
Location: The Sea View Hotel
But you don’t have to wait to show your support! Between now and April 13th, e-mail Mayor Gabriel Groisman [email protected] and urge him to support the Bal Harbour Shops Enhancements, which will result in a new, better Village Hall and more than $127 million in benefits for the local community.
